Wild Geranium Portrait

Here is a closeup of some wild geraniums that were part of a larger group (see below). I found these a few miles before the start of the Roaring Fork Motorway in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, April 24, 2006. I like the way the fern kind of curls around the top flower. I also got some shots without it. I also like the way you can see dropped pink petals on some of the leaves toward the back and underneath.
